Oregon is ranked No. 9 in the latest AP Top 25, released Sunday.

The Ducks rose one spot in the poll after sitting at No. 10 in last week’s ranking.

They are joined by No. 7 Washington — which took over as the top-ranked Pac-12 team after decimating Cal — No. 8 USC, No. 10 Utah, No. 16 Washington State, and No. 19 Oregon State. Colorado and UCLA both dropped out of the poll after road losses in their Pac-12 openers.

In a 42-6 win over Colorado on Saturday, Oregon came out firing in the first half. Led by a brilliant first half from Bo Nix and a determined rushing effort, Oregon scored more points (35) than Colorado gained yards (21).

Oregon outgained Colorado 378-21 in the first half. Before a 14-play, 93-yard drive on Colorado’s last full possession of the game, the Buffs had 106 yards of total offense. Oregon sacked quarterback Shedeur Sanders seven times. Nix hit 25 of his first 27 passes and finished the game with 276 passing yards and four total touchdowns.

“We were prepared for a battle,” coach Dan Lanning said after the game. “It didn’t end up being a battle.”

Instead, it was more of a reminder that Oregon is still the class of the conference.

The Ducks (4-0, 1-0 Pac-12) head to Stanford in Week 5.
