Oregon makes top 5 for blue-chip edge defender out of Florida
Solomon Williams is one of the most sought-after edge defenders in the 2024 recruiting class. After picking up scholarship offers from 46 programs, Williams is narrowing his focus to 5 teams.
Oregon made the cut for Williams’ final 5. Dan Lanning’s staff will be competing with Alabama, Clemson, Texas and Texas A&M to win Williams’ commitment.

A standout at Tampa (Florida) Carrollwood Day, Williams is listed as measuring 6-3 and 250 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, Williams is rated 4-stars, the No. 21 edge defender, No. 41 recruit in the Sunshine State and No. 294 prospect overall in the Class of 2024.
Williams visited his top teams throughout the spring and summer. He documented May and June visits to Eugene on social media.
