Oregon makes the final three for 5-star Florida running back
One of the best running back prospects in the country is down to three schools.
And Oregon is still in the hunt. Richard Young, the 5-star tailback from Lehigh Acres (Fla.) Senior, announced his list of three finalists on Tuesday. Oregon made the cut alongside the favored Alabama Crimson Tide and the Georgia Bulldogs. As of this time, he has not made a commitment date publicly known.

Young rates as a 5-star prospect in the industry-generated 247 Composite, the 24th-ranked recruit in the entire class, and the No. 2 back in the country. He was in Eugene on an official visit for the Ducks’ massive weekend to close out the month of June.
Alabama got a visit from the 5-foot-11, 200-pound back on June 10. Georgia brought him to campus for an official on June 17. Of his finalists, the Ducks got the last impression.
As a junior last fall, he put up 1,755 yards and 19 touchdowns on 196 carries in 10 games. Through his first three years of varsity ball, Young has produced over 3,500 rushing yards at 9 yards a carry to go with 33 touchdowns.
The Ducks are looking to add their second back to the 2023 class. Mississippi back Dante Dowdell joined the flock back in May.
