Oregon is losing senior receiver Caleb Chapman to the transfer portal.

Chapman announced his decision to leave the program on Tuesday evening. He began his career at Texas A&M, but joined the Ducks last offseason.

Here’s his announcement:

Chapman played in 9 games for the Ducks this season, but most of his contributions came on special teams. Offensively, he made just 1 catch for 15 yards on the season. He played 26 offensive snaps this season.

He’s originally from Clear Lake, Texas. It’s possible he will be looking to transfer closer to home for the 2023 season. He spent the first 4 years of his collegiate career at Texas A&M.

With the Aggies, Chapman made 29 catches for 428 yards and 3 touchdowns from 2018-21. He was a 4-star prospect in the class of 2018.

Oregon will head into 2023 with plenty of depth at WR. In addition to the players who are returning, the Ducks have earned commitments from 2 receivers in the portal so far: Traeshon Holden and Keyonteze Johnson.
