Oregon loses safety, former 4-star recruit to transfer portal
Oregon safety Trejon Williams is entering the transfer portal, according to multiple reports.
247Sports was 1st to report Williams’ departure on Friday afternoon. Williams was a member of Oregon’s 2022 signing class, so he spent just 1 season with the Ducks.

Williams was the No. 363 overall player and the No. 30 safety in the country for the class of 2022, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He was also the No. 2 player from the state of Oregon.
Williams attended Jefferson High School in Portland, Oregon.
The former 4-star prospect did not see any game action for the Ducks last season. Instead, Williams utilized a redshirt season and will have 4 years of eligibility remaining at his next destination.
Oregon has been aggressive in adding defensive backs via the portal this offseason. The Ducks have already added potential starting safeties Tysheem Johnson and Evan Williams. Steve Stephens IV is also back for his senior season and has started 18 games over the past 2 campaigns.
