Oregon lost a key member of its 2024 recruiting class on Sunday afternoon, according to a report.

4-star receiver Tyseer Denmark backed off of his pledge to join the Ducks, per Rivals’ Adam Friedman. The report cites a conversation with Denmark’s high school coach, Rick Prete.

Denmark, a Philadelphia native, is on an official visit to Penn State this weekend.

His departure is a big loss for Oregon in the class of 2024. He had been committed to the Ducks since November of 2022.

Denmark is the No. 227 overall player and the No. 33 receiver in the country for this cycle, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 3 player from the state of Pennsylvania.

Oregon still has a strong class of 2024 recruits to this point in the cycle. The class includes 17 total commits and 3 others at the wide receiver position. The group ranks in the top 10 nationally, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.

Denmark has not officially announced his decommitment.
