Oregon has become one of the destination spots for some of the top offensive linemen in the nation in recent years, and Indiana transfer Matthew Bedford is looking to become the next one.

Bedford was originally committed to Colorado after starting in 29 games over 4 seasons with the Hoosiers. He became a starter as a freshman in 2019 and appeared at every spot other than center.

Bedford suffered a knee injury in 2022 that caused him to miss the final 11 games of that season. Then, Tom Allen, the head coach who recruited him, was fired following the conclusion of IU’s 2023 campaign and replaced by former James Madison coach Curt Cignetti.

The Ducks flipped Bedford away from Deion Sanders and the Buffaloes, who he committed to on Dec. 12. The Cordova, Tennessee native stands at 6-foot-6, 314 pounds and is fully capable of stepping in and starting on the Oregon offensive line given his size and versatility.

Bedford joins former Oklahoma quarterback Dillon Gabriel in making up the Ducks’ 2024 transfer portal class. Oregon has had 10 players leave the program during this cycle thus far.

Side note about Bedford: His X bio states “I move people for a living.” A pretty apt description for the redshirt senior.
