Oregon is in the mix for 2024 Destrehan (La.) linebacker Kolaj Cobbins, a blue-chip linebacker and one of the better prospects at his position in next year’s recruiting cycle.

Cobbins revealed his top six on social media Wednesday. It features Oregon alongside Colorado, LSU, Michigan, Texas, and Ole Miss. Cobbins dropped a top 10 on Christmas Day last month and has since knocked out USC, Alabama, Georgia, Oklahoma State, and Florida State. The Buffaloes weren’t in the mix last month, but surging into the picture is becoming the Deion Sanders special down in Boulder.

The 6-foot-3, 200-pound Cobbins doesn’t currently have any official visits scheduled, but he’s reportedly eyeing Michigan now that his focus is starting to narrow.

Cobbins is a 4-star recruit in the industry-generated 247 Composite. He ranks as the 19th linebacker prospect and the fifth-best player from Louisiana. He’s the 237th overall prospect in the class according to the Composite.

MaxPreps doesn’t have stats listed for Destrehan, but 247Sports credits him with 60 tackles, 12 sacks, and eight forced fumbles as a sophomore in 2021.
