Oregon lands in the Top 5 for one of the best corners in the 2024 class
Oregon remains firmly in the mix for Springfield (Ohio) corner Aaron Scott Jr.
The elite 4-star corner revealed his Top 5 on Thursday, and he has the Ducks included alongside Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State, and Tennessee. The Buckeyes are viewed as the favorites in his recruitment, but Oregon has been pushing hard to stay in the picture and brought him to campus as recently as last month for a visit.

A 6-foot, 170-pound cornerback, Scott ranks as the No. 56 overall recruit in the 2024 class by the industry-generated 247 Composite. He’s also the No. 2 prospect from the state of Ohio and the No. 6 corner in the class. He finished his junior season with 21 tackles, five interceptions, three tackles for loss, and a fumble recovery. Two of Scott’s picks were returned for scores.
Corners coach Demetrice Martin is looking for another top-100 prospect to pair with 4-star Ify Obidegwu. Michigan is in on several high-profile corner prospects but doesn’t currently have a verbal commitment from anyone at the position. The Wolverines are getting an official visit from Scott on June 16. Ohio State is also looking for its first corner to join the class.
Martin’s pedigree and recent success should keep the Ducks in it. Getting an official visit will be big. Michigan is the only visit that’s known at this point.
