Oregon lands in final group for 4-star QB in 2024 recruiting class
Oregon is in the process of putting together the 2024 recruiting class under head coach Dan Lanning. The Ducks also learned Friday they are still in the mix for an elite quarterback in the cycle.
Michael Van Buren — a 4-star QB out of Maryland — updated his recruitment with his list of three finalists for his commitment. Oregon made the cut alongside Penn State and Maryland out of the B1G.
Prior to cutting down his list, Van Buren generated a host of Power 5 offers that included top-tier programs such as Alabama, Michigan, Miami (FL), Oklahoma, Tennessee and others.

Listed at 5-foot-11.5 and 185 pounds, the 247 Sports Composite rates Van Buren as a 4-star recruit and the 11th QB prospect in the country for the 2024 recruiting class. The St. Frances Academy star is also the 130th overall recruit regardless of position for the cycle.
We’ll see if the Ducks can land the QB target down the road.
