Alexander heads to Eugene coming off his best season. Over 13 games with 9 starts, Alexander posted career highs of 34 total tackles and 17 passes defended. Those numbers include 32 solo stops, 1 sack and 2 interceptions.
Alexander played in UTSA’s Frisco Bowl win over Marshall before entering the transfer portal. He was the Defensive MVP of the game after recording 2 pass breakups and 1 interception. Per PFF, he did not allow a catch on 5 targets in 34 coverage snaps.
Before his season at UTSA, Alexander played in 32 games over four seasons at Sam Houston. He was a reserve contributor for three seasons, making his first start in the 2021 campaign. Alexander was a 4-game starter in 2022 before redshirting.
It has been a busy transfer portal cycle for Dan Lanning’s staff. The Ducks saw 12 players depart via the portal and have now added 7 newcomers.
