Oregon was likely still celebrating its 42-6 smackdown of Colorado in the locker room when it picked up another victory on Saturday.

Five-star Scottsdale (Ariz.) Desert Mountain defensive lineman Tony Cumberland announced his commitment to the Ducks Saturday afternoon. Cumberland is a 6-foot-4, 250-pound defender in the Class of 2026.

He’s the top-ranked recruit from the state of Arizona in the 2026 class, according to the industry-generated 247 Composite. He’s also the No. 4 defensive lineman in the class and the No. 27 overall prospect.

And he’s a Duck.

As a freshman in 2022, Cumberland was credited with 16.5 tackles for loss and six sacks in 11 games.

Cumberland was in Eugene this weekend along with a slew of other Oregon targets to see the Ducks host No. 19 Colorado. What he was treated to was enough to make him pull the trigger on his commitment shortly after the game went final.

Cumberland held some elite offers from all over. His offer list included Miami, Ohio State, Texas, Texas A&M, Wisconsin, Washington, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Arizona, and Arizona State.

His commitment gives the Ducks their first known 2026 pledge. You can see his highlight tape below, via Hudl:
