Oregon lands commitment from 4-star 2023 safety
The Ducks are hoping to score a few commitments from a star-studded recruiting weekend coming up, but the fireworks have already begun.
On Wednesday, Oregon scored a verbal commitment from 4-star safety Tyler Turner. The San Antonio (Texas) Brennan defensive back announced his decision on social media, picking the Ducks over interest from Oklahoma, Auburn, and Arkansas, among others.

The 6-foot, 180-pound Turner rates as the 33rd-best safety in the 2023 cycle. He’s a 4-star in the industry-generated 247 Composite and the 337th overall player in his class. A physical safety with good ball skills, Turner plays all over the field. He recorded 86 tackles as a junior this past fall and brought in three interceptions.
His pledge gives the Ducks seven known commitments for the 2023 cycle, six of which are from 4-star prospects.
