Oregon football to debut new Nike cleats for season-opener against Georgia
Being Nike’s flagship college football program certainly has its advantages.
The latest bit of gameday innovation from the Swoosh will debut on the feet of the Ducks when they take on No. 3 Georgia to open the 2022 season. In Atlanta, Oregon will showcase a brand new non-retail colorway of the Vapor Edge 360 VC cleat — decked out in Oregon’s classic yellow and green, of course.
Nike’s Vapor Edge 360 VC is a step up from the previous Vapor Edge Pro 360 model, which featured an internal full-foot plate for maneuverability and specifically-placed studs to help with cutting and stopping.
We haven’t yet seen what uniforms the Ducks will be wearing to take on the Bulldogs, but perhaps that is coming soon. Oregon is designated as the home team for the game.

The cleats are nice.
A win would be nicer.
The 14th-ranked Ducks open the Dan Lanning era against their new head coach’s former team. Lanning helped construct one of the sport’s best defenses in recent years at Georgia, and that defense paved the way for a national championship. In Eugene, Lanning is hoping to bring the Ducks closer to the same.
Oregon is more than a two-touchdown underdog in the game — which is set to kick off at 12:30 p.m. PT. Look good, feel good, play good, right?
