Oregon football coach Dan Lanning brought his roster and took over the student section for Saturday night’s game against Utah.

It was a crucial point for the Ducks basketball team, which entered the affair 12-9 and fighting for their NCAA Tournament lives. Lanning’s program is hosting 5-star Washington (D.C.) Archbishop Carroll athlete Nyckoles Harbor this weekend, and so the team was on hand at Matthew Knight Arena to show Harbor the fanbase.

Harbor was taking photos with fans at halftime, according to Ducks Wire editor Zachary Neel. Then, when the student section found out he was in attendance, chants of “We Want Harbor” started to rain down.

Harbor is one of only two 5-star prospects in the Class of 2023 who remain uncommitted publicly. He’s a major target for Lanning and the staff. The Ducks went in-home with him earlier this week ahead of his visit to Eugene.

The 6-foot-5 athlete ranks as the 16th-best prospect in the class and the No. 1 athlete, per the industry-generated 247 Composite. Harbor reportedly wants to participate in both football and track at whatever college he chooses. In addition to being one of the best football recruits in the class, he’s also a world-class track athlete, with a verified 100-meter time of 10.28 in April 2022 and a 200m time of 20.79.

Oregon won the game 68-56, powered by a game-high 18 points from Jermaine Couisnard.
