Oregon flips 4-star WR, top 100 prospect away from USC on Early Signing Day
Oregon is making a major push on Early Signing Day. Along the way, the Ducks have flipped some notable prospects to climb into the top 5 of the team rankings Wednesday afternoon.
Early in the day, Dan Lanning’s program flipped Jeremiah McClellan, a 4-star receiver and the No. 49 player in the class originally committed to Ohio State. The 247 Sports Composite also rates McClellan as the No. 13 WR in the country.
However, Oregon was not yet done with its flips. The Ducks went on to land another 4-star WR in Ryan Pellum, pulling him away from an original commitment to USC.

Pellum checks in as the No. 19 WR in the 2024 recruiting class and cracks the top 100 as the 99th overall prospect in the country. He was committed to the Trojans all the way up to Early Signing Day but ultimately signed with the Ducks.
With the latest flip, Lanning’s program is now up to the No. 4 recruiting class in the country per the 247 Sports Team Composite. The Ducks now have 20 players with a 4-star rating in the 2024 cycle, a mark that is tied with Georgia’s No. 1 recruiting class for the most 4-star commits in the country.
