Oregon has received a verbal commitment from Los Alamitos (Calif.) High linebacker Kamar Mothudi.

The 6-foot-3, 220-pound linebacker revealed his commitment live on the 247Sports YouTube page on Tuesday, choosing the Ducks over Washington, Utah, Michigan State, and Texas. The Spartans were viewed as a real threat, but Oregon was the favorite and managed to close the deal on a second 4-star linebacker prospect in as many weeks.

Mothudi took an official visit to Eugene on June 23. It would appear he liked what he saw.

A multi-sport athlete, Mothudi is viewed as one of the top linebackers in the 2024 class. He’s rated as a 4-star recruit in the industry-generated 247 Composite and ranked as the No. 206 prospect in the national player rankings. He’s the 18th-ranked linebacker in his class.

He was an absolute workhorse as a junior last fall, rushing for 1,345 yards and 18 touchdowns on offense while totaling 104 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, 2 interceptions, 2 pass breakups, and 1 forced fumble on defense.

Mothudi’s pledge gives the Ducks a pair of wreckers at linebacker in the 2024 class, as he joins fellow 4-star Dylan Williams, who gave his commitment to Oregon last week. Mothudi flashes the ability to play either inside or out, though he looks like a nice fit in Oregon’s ‘money’ linebacker role.

It’s commitment No. 20 for the Ducks this cycle, adding to what is already a top-10 class nationally. You can see Mothudi’s highlight tape below, via Hudl:
