Oregon baseball bows out of NCAA Tournament with Super Regional loss to Oral Roberts
Oregon baseball is out of the NCAA Tournament.
The Ducks fell 11-6 to Oral Roberts on Sunday night in Eugene, ending their bid to reach the College World Series for the first time since 1954.

Oregon won Game 1 of this series on Friday night, but suffered a walk-off defeat in Game 2 on Saturday. The Ducks’ pitching staff then faltered on Sunday as ORU was able to score 11 runs on just 8 hits.
Oregon pitchers issues a combined 11 walks in the loss on Sunday. The staff also hit 4 batters, giving ORU a combined 15 free passes across 9 innings.
Sabin Ceballos and Tanner Smith both homered for Oregon in the loss.
Oral Roberts will now be 1 of 8 teams advancing to Omaha to play in the College World Series. Its ORU’s first trip to Omaha since 1978, which is the only other time the program has reached the CWS.
The College World Series begins on Friday, June 16.
