Oregon announces schedule adjustments, home-and-home with Oregon State
Oregon has made some changes to its football schedules for 2024 and ’25. The headlining announcement is a home-and-home series with Oregon State.
With Oregon’s departure for the Big Ten, there had been uncertainty about the Civil War rivalry series. The long-time rivals now have meetings scheduled for the next 2 seasons.
The Ducks will travel to Corvallis for a game on Sept. 14, 2024. Oregon will host the Beavers on Sept. 20, 2025. The last 4 meetings in the series have gone to the home team, with UO winning 31-7 on Nov. 24.
Adding OSU back to the slate is part of Oregon’s schedule shuffling. The Ducks were originally scheduled to play Idaho, Texas Tech and Boise State for the first 3 home games of the 2024 season. Idaho remains Oregon’s home opener on Aug. 31, but the Boise State game has been moved up to Sept. 7, ahead of the trip to OSU.
Oregon had been scheduled to go to Boise State on Sept. 13, 2025. That game has been taken off the books and replaced by the Oregon State on Sept. 20, 2025. Oregon and Boise State’s 3-game contract for 2024-26 has been reduced to 2 contests.
The shuffling gives Oregon more balanced schedules for the next 2 seasons. The move to the Big Ten for 2024 had caused the Ducks to have 8 home games on the schedule in 2024 and just 6 in 2025. Now, Oregon will have 7 home games in each of the next 2 seasons.
Oregon opens the 2024 season at Hawaii on Aug. 24.
