Nishad Strother is headed to the Pac-12 after the former East Carolina offensive lineman announced a commitment to play for the Oregon Ducks.

Strother has 3 years of experience and 2 years of eligibility that has a load of experience starting for the Pirates. He redshirted in 2019 after he appeared in 2 games.

Strother visited Oregon over the weekend. At ECU, he started 30 games, including the last 18 straight. The late developer was a 2-star recruit ranked No. 2,776 nationally and No. 49 among offensive guards in the 247Sports Composite in the class of 2019.

Strother is the 13th FBS transfer addition for the Ducks this offseason, including Texas offensive lineman Junior Angilau and Ajani Cornelius of Rhode Island.

Strother is expected to play at left guard, but also could shift to left tackle, where he started his college career. The Ducks coaching staff stresses that players across the roster should have the ability to play multiple positions. Strother at 6-foot-3 and 330 pounds is capable of playing both spots.
