Kayvon Thibodeaux was a one-man wrecking crew on Sunday against the New York Jets.

Thibodeaux couldn’t be stopped and accounted for 9 tackles, 3 sacks, and 1 forced fumble. He played in Eugene from 2019-2021 and was taken by the New York Giants with the fifth overall pick in last year’s NFL Draft.

Sadly for the Giants, Thibodeaux’s efforts weren’t enough to earn a win. The Giants lost to the Jets 13-10 in overtime. Thibodeaux was too much to handle for the Jets’ offensive line and was in the backfield multiple times.

The Oregon product has played in all seven games so far this season. Thibodeaux had 16 total tackles, 5.5 sacks, 1 fumble recovery, and 1 pass deflection going into Sunday’s game.

The Giants are now 2-6 with a game against the Las Vegas Raiders up next. They are now 1-5 in their last six games.

The Giants and Raiders meet at Allegiant Stadium in Week 9. Kickoff will be at 1:25 p.m. PT on FOX.
