Justin Herbert had himself a day for the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday.

Against the Minnesota Vikings, the former Oregon star completed 40 of his 47 passes for 405 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions. In doing so, Herbert became just the seventh player in NFL history to have 400 yards, three scores, and 40 completions in a game without a pick.

Herbert’s big day helped the Chargers get their first win of the season, defeating the Vikings 28-24.

Big games like this are nothing new for Herbert. In college for the Ducks, Herbert had several 400-plus-yard passing games, including a game in 2019 where Herbert tied the school’s single-game record with 489 yards.

Herbert is second in all-time passing touchdowns and yards in Oregon history, behind only Marcus Mariota in both categories. In 2019 for the Ducks, Herbert won the William V. Campbell Trophy, which is considered the “academic Heisman.”

The former Duck was drafted with the No. 6 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft and set an NFL record for most passing touchdowns by a rookie quarterback.

Coming off of the first win of the season, Herbert and the Chargers will next face the Las Vegas Raiders in an AFC West showdown on Sunday, Oct. 1
