Jackson Powers-Johnson is heading to the NFL Draft.

On Monday, the Rimington Trophy-winning center for the Ducks officially declared for the 2024 NFL Draft. In a lengthy note shared on social media, Powers-Johnson said thank you to a laundry list of people at Oregon, including former head coach Mario Cristobal, former offensive line coach Adrian Klemm, and “most importantly, for Coach Lanning who believed in and loved me!”

The standout Oregon center had one more season of eligibility at the college level, but he doesn’t exactly need it. He was voted an All-American this season and is listed by Mel Kiper Jr. as the third-best center prospect in the upcoming NFL Draft class.

Powers-Johnson is in his first year as a full-time starter and he has been dominant. According to Pro Football Focus, he allowed just one quarterback pressure in more than 470 snaps as a pass-blocker and was not charged with allowing a sack. Entering postseason play, he leads all FBS centers in pass-blocking grade (91.3), run-blocking grade (83.1), and overall grade (83.2) from PFF.

With first-team All-America selections by the AP, the FWAA, and the Walter Camp Foundation, Powers-Johnson becomes the 11th consensus All-American in Oregon history. With the AFCA and The Sporting News still to come, he has a chance to become just the fifth unanimous selection ever.

It’s not immediately clear if Powers-Johnson (or Bucky Irving, who also declared on Monday) will play in the Fiesta Bowl on Jan. 1. Quarterback Bo Nix has already signaled his intention to play in the game despite moving to the NFL afterward, and coach Dan Lanning hinted that others would do the same, so it’s certainly possible either could still suit up for the Ducks one more time.
