Heisman Trophy voters were treated to quite the first half from Oregon quarterback Bo Nix.

Against No. 16 Oregon State on Friday night, Nix threw for two touchdowns and ran for a third as the Ducks took a 21-7 halftime lead on their hated rivals. His third touchdown — a 41-yard pass to Troy Franklin — came with just eight seconds left on the clock.

And it was an absolute dart.

Here’s another look at the cross-body throw:

It’s an unbelievable throw from Nix, who entered Friday night’s game in a tight race with LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels for the Heisman Trophy. That back-and-forth looks like it’ll go all the way to the buzzer, and Nix could get the last opportunity to make his case.

Daniels and the LSU Tigers face Texas A&M on Saturday in their final game of the regular season. LSU will not play during championship weekend.

If Oregon closes out Oregon State and wins the game, the Ducks will be playing next Friday night against Washington in the Pac-12 Championship Game.

The knock on Nix in recent weeks has been that he doesn’t throw the ball downfield. The touchdown pass to Franklin was Nix’s 12th score this season on a pass that covered more than 20 yards through the air.

Fun fact: UW’s Michael Penix Jr., widely regarded as one of the best deep-ball passers in the country, also has 12 such touchdown passes this season.
