ESPN's College GameDay crew reveals their picks for Oregon-Washington
Oregon welcomes Washington to Autzen Stadium Saturday afternoon for some top-25 rivalry action.
There’s a tremendous amount of anticipation for the game, and the ESPN College GameDay crew offered their picks on the traveling pregame show. Here’s how the crew picked:
- Desmond Howard: Oregon
- Pat McAfee: Oregon
- Jordan Spieth (guest picker): Washington
- Kirk Herbstreit: Oregon
“It’s a pack-a-sandwich game. Long game. I’m going over four hours because I think it’s that kind of offensive (day). Michael Penix is going to have a huge day, Bo Nix is going to have a bigger day. I’ve got Oregon,” Herbstreit said. “Plus it’s at Autzen, rivalry game, tough to beat (Oregon) there.”
The sixth-ranked Ducks have won eight straight games this season and 23 straight at home. A win over the Huskies would set a program record for consecutive home wins (24).
The 25th-ranked Huskies would love nothing more that to spoil that streak and ruin the Ducks’ College Football Playoff hopes. Washington has lost three straight in the series, but it’s 7-2 on the season under coach Kalen DeBoer and looking for what would be a third win over a ranked opponent this year.
Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. PT on FOX.
