Elijah Rushing will announce his college commitment live on the 247Sports YouTube page on July 6.

Rushing, a 6-foot-5 edge rusher out of Tucson (Ariz.) Salpointe Catholic, will pick between the Oregon Ducks, Arizona Wildcats, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, and Tennessee Volunteers. His commitment is set for 2 p.m. PT.

The Arizona native is a 5-star prospect in the industry-generated 247 Composite and ranked as one of the best players in his class.

Rushing ranks as the No. 1 recruit from the state of Arizona and the No. 3 edge in the class. Overall, he’s the No. 25 prospect in the class of 2024.

The Ducks brought him to campus for an official visit the weekend of June 17. Throughout the month of June, he also visited Arizona, Notre Dame, and Tennessee. Oregon has been in the picture for Rushing’s recruitment since almost the beginning. He has been to campus multiple times for official visits, including in November for the Washington game.

He’s a long, rangy athlete with tons of upside as a pass-rusher. As a junior last fall, Rushing collected 73 tackles, 13.5 tackles for loss, 11.5 sacks, and four forced fumbles. That was after a sophomore campaign that saw him produce 75 tackles, nine TFLs, and 7.5 sacks.
