Safe to say Dante Moore liked what he saw from his future team in the first half against No. 9 UCLA on Saturday.

Oregon’s 5-star quarterback commit tweeted “the playmakers at Oregon is (sic.) just different.” Oregon took a 31-13 lead into the halftime break after a second quarter that saw the Ducks perfectly execute an onside kick and put 28 points on the board.

Moore will have no shortage of skill talent to work with in Eugene. In his own class, Oregon will welcome 5-star receiver Jurrion Dickey, but Oregon sure isn’t hurting in the go-to receiver department ahead of Dickey’s arrival.

Troy Franklin was fabulous in the first half against UCLA, hauling in eight catches for 127 yards and two touchdowns. He had a 49-yard touchdown on a perfect throw from quarterback Bo Nix, then followed that up on the Ducks’ next possession with a ridiculous contested catch.

And just as much as the Detroit (Mich.) King quarterback is looking forward to getting to Eugene, offensive coordinator Kenny Dillingham has to be equally excited to add Moore to this operation.

Per the 247 Composite, he rates as the eighth-best prospect in the 2023 class, the fourth-best quarterback, and the top recruit from the state of Michigan. He’s also the highest-rated quarterback commit Oregon has had in the 247Sports era.
