Dan Lanning praises Oregon's finish in locker room after Fiesta Bowl victory
Dan Lanning was thrilled with his team after a 45-6 win over Liberty in the Fiesta Bowl on Monday.
“Champs. No one can ever take that from you. Seniors, these guys played that way for you. This team worked their ass off for you. We appreciate everything you’ve done for us,” Lanning told the Ducks in the locker room after the game. “Unbelievable job. Unbelievable finish to the season.
“We said we wanted to write the last chapter. We said we wanted to write the pen. We had it today. We kept our foot on the gas the whole day.”
“𝘞𝘦 𝘴𝘢𝘪𝘥 𝘸𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘸𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘱𝘵𝘦𝘳… 𝘞𝘦 𝘴𝘢𝘪𝘥 𝘸𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘦𝘯.” ✍️

Oregon started a bit slow on both sides of the football, but it took Liberty to the cleaners in the second quarter.
The Flames marched down the field on the opening possession of the game, going 75 yards for a touchdown in six plays. Oregon settled for a field goal on its opening possession, then went three-and-out on its next drive.
But when the Ducks took possession of the football with 1:17 to play in the first quarter, they unleashed an onslaught. Over the next 16:17 of game clock leading into halftime, Oregon outscored Liberty 28-0 and outgained Liberty 320-50.
The Ducks rolled through the middle portion of the football game.
In doing so, Oregon secured its sixth 12-win season in program history.
