Dan Lanning greeted with 'Dan you suck' chant during College GameDay appearance
Dan Lanning was greeted with boos by Utah fans upon his arrival to the College GameDay set.
Lanning was the first-ever opposing coach to be on the desk at an away venue on Saturday. The Utah fans reacted accordingly as the Oregon head coach made his way to the set.
Lanning played along and joked that the crowd was almost as loud as Autzen Stadium.
“You hear all these guys chanting Bo behind us? How awesome is that,” said Lanning. “It’s almost as loud as Autzen Stadium.”

Later on, the crowd started chanting “Dan you suck.” Pat McAfee chimed in and said that they were saying “Dan’s a Duck.”
“I read a story about you driving 13 hours to the beautiful city of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to tell Todd Graham that you deserve to be a D1 coach. Now it’s like 7:15 a.m., you’re in Salt Lake City. Now they’re saying, ‘Dan’s a Duck?'”

No. 13 Utah will be looking to upset another ranked team in Week 9 with No. 8 Oregon in town. The Utes knocked off USC in their last game on a field goal with no time on the clock.
Atmospheres like this in college football are what make the sport so great. Kickoff from Salt Lake City will be at 12:30 p.m. PT on FOX.
