BYU runs out of tunnel with Oregon flag, tribute to Spencer Webb
Before things got rolling Saturday between No. 25 Oregon and No. 12 BYU, the Cougars showed some love to the Oregon football family.
As BYU took the field prior to the game, the team ran out of the tunnel carrying a yellow Oregon flag that featured Spencer Webb’s name and number. Former Oregon offensive lineman and current Cougar Kingsley Suamataia was the BYU man carrying the flag.

BYU also placed a bouquet of flowers on the 4-yard-line earlier in the day. Webb, a tight end for Oregon, was set to change from No. 18 to No. 4 this season.
Hard to see from this shot, but BYU has placed a bouquet of flowers at the 4 yard line in remembrance of Oregon tight end Spencer Webb, who died in a climbing accident in July. pic.twitter.com/dLJmsGyqhy

Webb passed away prior to the start of fall camp. The Ducks have done several things to honor his memory since, including wearing a sticker with Webb’s No. 4 on the back of their helmets this year.
