Bo Nix delivers darts and donuts.

On the first day of classes at Oregon on Tuesday, Nix and his wife, Izzy, set up shop outside the Erb Memorial Union to pass out free donuts from Voodoo Doughnuts to students. Oregon’s assistant director of player development, Karl Holmes Jr., said the couple gave out more than 500 donuts.

In his fifth year of college, Nix probably has a fairly light opening day. He’s also probably the most popular man on campus after helping lead the Ducks to a 42-6 win over Colorado this past Saturday.

Through the first four games of his final season, Nix has 1,169 yards and 11 touchdowns.

Against Colorado over the weekend, he completed 28 of his 33 passes for 276 yards and three touchdowns while also adding a fourth score on the ground. Oregon had a 35-0 lead at the halftime break thanks in part to a quarterback who couldn’t miss. Nix opened the game with 11 straight completions and went into the locker room with more touchdown tosses (three) than incompletions (two).

Nix and the Ducks are back in action this upcoming Saturday when they head to Stanford. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. PT on the Pac-12 Network.
