Bo Nix to Troy Franklin. It’s a productive connection.

In the first quarter on Saturday night against Texas Tech, Nix found Franklin streaking down the left sideline for a 72-yard touchdown. After Tech had jumped out to an early 7-0 lead, Oregon answered back right away with a two-play, 75-yard scoring drive to make it a short-lived lead.

Franklin had seven catches for 106 yards and two scores in the opener last weekend against Portland State. The year prior, he brought in 61 balls for 891 yards and nine touchdowns.

The junior receiver is one of the top playmakers in the Pac-12 this season, and if Nix makes a push for the Heisman, Franklin will probably be among the statistical leaders at his position.
