AP Top 25: Oregon re-enters the media poll after blowout win in Week 2
After a one-week hiatus, Oregon has returned to the AP Top 25.
Following a blowout win in the home opener Saturday night, Oregon checked in at No. 25 in the most recent media poll. The Ducks dominated Eastern Washington in the first home game of the Dan Lanning era, 70-14, as quarterback Bo Nix led touchdown drives every time he touched the football.
The Ducks lost their opener, but rebounded nicely in Week 2 and now they’re back in the rankings.
That sets up a top-25 matchup at home next weekend when Oregon welcomes BYU to Autzen Stadium.
The Cougars are ranked No. 12 in the latest AP poll, fresh off a 26-20 double-overtime win over Baylor. The game will be just the seventh all-time meeting between the two programs and the first since 2006. Oregon is 3-1 in games played in Eugene.
Kickoff between the two is set for 12:30 p.m. PT on FOX.
