The Ducks were idle this week, but that didn’t stop them from rising up a little bit more in the latest AP Top 25, released on Sunday.

With several top-10 teams ahead of Oregon losing on Saturday — including USC in a 43-42 thriller at Utah — the Ducks slid up two spots to No. 10 in the latest media poll. It sets up a top-10 showdown next Saturday with UCLA in Eugene, as the Bruins also moved up and into the top 10 in the poll (No. 9).

ESPN’s College GameDay will be on hand for the Ducks’ Oct. 22 game against UCLA. After an early-season loss to Georgia, this will be Oregon’s best chance yet to return to national prominence. The Ducks have won five games in a row, but a 49-3 loss to the Bulldogs in Week 1 is still being held against them to some degree.

Beating UCLA would give the Ducks quite the résumé boost. Kickoff is set for 12:30 p.m. PT on either FOX or FS1 next Saturday.
