Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders certainly impressed in their Colorado debuts.

The pair of former Jackson State Tigers shine in Colorado’s 45-42 Week 1 victory over TCU. The Buffs were pretty moderate underdogs against the national runners-up from a year ago, but this didn’t look like a fluke in the slightest.

For one, Sanders is the real deal. The son of Coach Prime threw for 510 yards and 4 touchdowns on the day with good accuracy.

Hunter played both sides of the ball, but played both very well. CFB’s Shohei Ohtani (maybe not quite yet) caught 11 passes for 119 yards and played lockdown defense at corner, intercepting a pass at the goal line.

So it’s no surprise that Hunter and Sanders didn’t just crack the list, created by On3’s Jessee Simonton; they topped it. Hunter came in at No. 1 while Sanders sat at No. 2.

Colorado looks to prove its legitimacy this week as the Buffs take on Matt Rhule and Nebraska at home. The game is set to kick at 10 a.m. MT on FOX.
