Shedeur Sanders reacts to Jay Norvell's comments: 'You're asking for it'
Shedeur Sanders, Colorado’s quarterback, joined ESPN’s First Take to discuss a variety of topics, including Colorado State head coach Jay Norvell’s recent comments regarding his father.
During a show earlier this week, Norvell chastised Deion Sanders for his attire during press conferences, stating “When I talk to grown-ups, I take my hat and my glasses off. That’s what my mother taught me.”
The quote was met with plenty of backlash, including Coach Prime himself saying how disrespectful it is and that it made matters personal. His son agreed.
“You gotta be a fool to do that. … It’s just extra motivation.”

“When you make it overly personal, whenever you make it like that, it’s all respect gone,” Shedeur Sanders said. “You’ve got his son playing at quarterback and his other son at safety, so you’re asking for it.”
In addition to Shedeur, Shiloh Sanders plays safety for Colorado.
The Rams and Buffaloes will clash at 10 p.m. ET on ESPN on Saturday. The Rocky Mountain Showdown has never been filled with such drama.
