Travis Hunter had one of the most incredible debuts we’ve seen in Week 1 against TCU. The former top recruit wasted no time showing why he was so highly sought after.

Hunter contributed in every facet of the game, finishing with 11 catches for 119 yards on offense. On defense, Hunter collected 2 tackles and 1 interception. The sensational performance led to the Buffaloes upsetting the Horned Frogs by a score of 45-42. The unexpected result took many by surprise, and Coach Prime let everyone know that he kept receipts.

SportsCenter posted a stat on social media that really puts Hunter’s incredible performance in perspective. The last 2 players to have 20 receptions and 3 interceptions in a single season are Champ Bailey and Chris Gamble. After just one game, Hunter already has 1 INT and 11 receptions.

Hunter is in exclusive company as Bailey is considered one of the greatest corners of all time and Gamble was a BCS National Champion in 2002.

The Buffaloes will next play host to the Nebraska Cornhuskers on Saturday, where Hunter will hope to add to his legendary start.
