Deion Sanders’ Colorado squad has taken the college football world by storm. It comes as no surprise that many recruits are interested in being part of what Coach Prime is building in Boulder.

Sanders told reporters at his Tuesday press conference that numerous prospects are inquiring about visiting Boulder to check out the Buffaloes.

“We’re receiving so many calls at this point right now it’s absurd,” Sanders said. “Just (guys) inquiring about what we do and how we do what we do and visitation, desiring to come on an unofficial or official visit.”

Sanders was already a force on the recruiting trail before winning his first game at Colorado. As Jackson State’s head coach, Sanders notably flipped former No. 1 recruit Travis Hunter from Florida State.

In the 2023 cycle, Sanders’ staff signed 21 players from high school or junior college, while taking 51 players out of the NCAA transfer portal. Cormani McClain, a 5-star defensive back out of Florida, was the headlining high school signee in Colorado’s 2023 class. Four-star running back Dylan Edwards has proven to be an instant-impact freshman.

At this time, Colorado’s 2024 recruiting class is ranked No. 76 on the 247Sports Composite with just 8 commitments. If the Buffaloes start turning calls into visits, the number of verbal pledges is likely to go up.
