Deion Sanders and Colorado are reportedly looking to get involved in the sweepstakes for 5-star Washington (D.C.) Archbishop Carroll star Nyckoles Harbor.

BuffStampede’s Adam Munsterteiger shared Monday morning that Harbor was on a visit to CU to begin the week, something that was seemingly confirmed with an Instagram Stories post from Harbor geo-tagging Boulder. But Harbor is not in Colorado; his father told 247Sports’ Steve Wiltfong that Harbor spent the morning at his school in D.C.

Munsterteiger followed that up by reporting the Buffs are still expecting to host the 5-star athlete on a visit “soon.” Harbor is taking his fourth official visit to Oregon this weekend after previously visiting Maryland, Michigan, and South Carolina.

Sanders is big-game hunting again, and he’s been no stranger to success so far. The Buffaloes are still flying high off last week’s flip of 5-star corner Cormani McClain. Colorado has only signed three 5-star prospects out of high school during the era of the recruiting services — and none since 2008. Harbor would make two in three months for Sanders — assuming McClain signs in February.

But it’s no sure thing the Buffs can make up enough ground.

The 6-foot-5 Harbor ranks as the No. 16 overall prospect in the class and the No. 1 athlete, per the 247 Composite. He’s one of only two 5-star prospects in the Class of 2023 who is still publicly uncommitted.

A track star as well, Harbor is reportedly hoping to do both at whatever college he chooses. He’s a world-class athlete, with a verified 100-meter time of 10.28 in April 2022 and a 200m time of 20.79. Over his last two seasons on varsity, Harbor put up video game numbers while playing tight end, wideout, and edge rusher for Archbishop Carroll. He has 31 receptions for 729 yards and 10 touchdowns on offense. He has 47.5 tackles for loss, 22.5 sacks, seven pass breakups, six forced fumbles, and four blocked kicks.
