Deion Sanders effect: Colorado fans storm field, Joel Klatt calls Buffs Top 20 team
Deion Sanders and Colorado are off to a flying start in the 2023 season.
After a blowout win over TCU to start things out, the Buffaloes found themselves in the Top 25 for the first time since 2020. They followed it up with a 36-14 win over Nebraska to improve to 2-0 for the 1st time since 2020.
Sanders came into the season with his trademark bravado, questioning those who didn’t believe that the Buffs would be a factor in 2023. So far, through 2 games, they’re the talk of college football.
As you can see below, Buffs fans stormed the field with 1 second left on the clock, with referees ultimately ending the game:
Bizarre scene in the fourth quarter
Colorado fans starts to storm the field with 0:01 left on the game clock. Eventually, media and players make their way across the field as well.

FOX’s Gus Johnson and Joel Klatt, the network’s No. 1 college football commentary team, had a front-row seat to the action at Folsom Field, where a sellout crowd gathered for a highly-anticipated home opener.
"Deion Sanders in two games has made Colorado a top 20 team in the country. They are no longer coming, they're here." @joelklatt had nothing but high praise for @CUBuffsFootball and @DeionSanders after the game 🦬 pic.twitter.com/6cv35aahiF

The scenes in Boulder are nothing short of unbelievable. The Buffs won 4 games in 2021 and just 1 in 2022, and will look for a 3-0 start as Colorado State comes to town on Sept. 16 for a primetime matchup.
