Colorado had a bit of on-field flash ready for the debut of head coach Deion Sanders in Fort Worth, Texas, on Saturday.

The Buffs debuted a new all-white uniform with gold lettering. It’s a call back to CU’s all-white “Stormtrooper” uniforms used during the 2015 campaign, just updated with a bit more flair. Fitting for Coach Prime, who has thrust Colorado back into the national spotlight just a year removed from a 1-11 campaign.

CU opened the season against a ranked TCU team on FOX as part of the network’s Big Noon Kickoff package.

All eyes on Sanders.

Sanders has the Buffs dreaming of big things in 2023. The offseason brought more than 80 new players to Boulder, including more than 50 transfer players — by far the most in the FBS.

Sanders’ team features a bit of star power, too. Preseason All-American Travis Hunter will play corner and wideout. Hunter is aiming for a Heisman Trophy in his first season at the Power Five level. Colorado will also be led by Sanders’ son, Shedeur, at quarterback.

The Buffs are looking for a fast start in the Lone Star State.
