Colorado set to host blue-chip 2023 athlete on official visit
Lincoln (Neb.) East athlete Malachi Coleman was slated to take an official visit to Michigan this upcoming weekend.
But after Colorado tight ends coach Tim Brewster stopped by for an in-home visit last week, Coleman has had a change of plans. The blue-chip wideout and top-100 recruit is headed to Boulder instead to visit with new CU head coach Deion Sanders and his staff. Coleman announced the itinerary change on Twitter Tuesday.

The 6-foot-5, 205-pound pass-catcher committed to Nebraska in late October thanks in large part to the work done by then-interim coach Mickey Joseph. He left the Nebraska class following the hire of Matt Rhule as head coach earlier this month, but made it known he was still interested in Nebraska and was looking to keep his options open.
Coleman ranks as the 84th overall recruit in the 2023 class, according to the 247Sports Composite. He’s the second-ranked athlete in the class and the top-ranked recruit from the state of Nebraska.
The Buffs have earned four verbal commitments for the 2023 class since Sanders was officially announced as the program’s head coach on Dec. 3. The group is headlined by speedy 4-star running back Dylan Edwards.
