Colorado is making waves in the Pac-12 after hiring Deion Sanders as its new head coach.

Now, Coach Prime is wasting no time assembling an elite coaching staff. On Wednesday, he found a big-name defensive coordinator to lead the way on that side of the ball.

Per reports on Wednesday afternoon, former Minnesota Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer, who was an analyst at Jackson State in 2022, will lead the Buffaloes defense in 2023 and beyond:

Mike Zimmer served as the Vikings’ head coach from 2014 to 2021, amassing an overall record of 72-56-1.

He was an assistant at the college level at Mizzou, Washington State and Weber State before making the jump to the NFL ranks with the Dallas Cowboys in 1994, where he overlapped with a star player named … Deion Sanders.
