Colorado loses commitment from elite QB prospect
Colorado lost a key member of its 2025 recruiting class on Sunday afternoon.
4-star quarterback Antwann Hill Jr. backed off of his pledge to Colorado. He committed to the Buffaloes last month, making this a relatively short commitment to Deion Sanders and Colorado.

Hill was a big recruiting win for Colorado when he committed back in October. He’s been recruited by some of the top programs in the country, including Georgia, Clemson, LSU, North Carolina and others.
This is a significant loss for Colorado in the class of 2025. Hill is the No. 59 overall player and the No. 5 quarterback in the country for the class of 2025, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
Hill’s departure comes one day after Colorado finished the 2023 season with a 4-8 record. The Buffs struggled over the last two months of the season, losing 8-of-9 games to end the year. Colorado will presumably be active in the transfer portal as it looks to build up its roster for the 2024 campaign.
