Colorado is now up to 15 players in the transfer portal since Saturday after freshman defensive back Xavier Smith announced his entry to the portal.

Smith, who is from Atlanta (Langston Hughes), thanked fans and teammates, and noted that he has 4 years of eligibility remaining.

Smith was a 3-star prospect by the recruiting services, and the 247 Composite listed him as the No. 102 safety in the class, No. 124 player from Georgia and No. 1,364 player nationally.

The other Colorado players looking to play elsewhere are wide receivers Montana Lemonious-Craig and Chase Sowell both announced their intention to transfer out of Colorado on Sunday. And so far on Monday, receiver Jordyn Tyson, running back Deion Smith, cornerback Jason Oliver, edge Shakaun Bowser, defensive end Aaron Austin, linebacker Aubrey Smith, receiver Grant Page, offensive lineman Jackson Anderson, edge Devin Grant, offensive lineman Alex Harkey, safety Oakie Salave’a and defensive back Tyrin Taylor.
