Colorado started off its week with some wonderful news. Wesley Greaves, a 3-star wideout from College Station (Texas) A&M Consolidated, announced on social media that he’ll begin his college career in Boulder.

He chose the Buffs over interest from Utah, SMU, Air Force, and Buffalo, among others. CU also only recently extended him an offer. The Buffs got formally involved in his recruitment earlier this month and things moved quickly once that scholarship was on the table. Greaves was in town for an unofficial last week and clearly liked what he saw.

The 6-foot-2, 185-pound wideout rates as a 3-star prospect in the 2023 Class, per the 247 Composite. He’s the 155th-ranked receiver in the class and the 180th-ranked recruit from the state of Texas.

Greaves was a first-team all-district selection as a junior last fall, hauling in 36 receptions for 714 yards and eight touchdowns. He also owns the all-time record at his high school with a 4.39-second 40-yard dash time, which he set last May.

His pledge gives Colorado its 15th known commit for the 2023 class, which ranks among the top 35 in the nation.
