Colorado center announces entry into transfer portal
Colorado center Lawson Lovering announced Tuesday that he would be entering the transfer portal after 2 years in Boulder.
Lovering is coming off perhaps the best game of his career against Utah Valley in the NIT, leading the way for 21 points and 7 rebounds in an NIT loss. He started all 34 games the Buffaloes played this past season.

Lovering is an interesting entry into the portal for a few reasons. For one, he stands at 7-foot-1 with a physical frame that could still compete at the Power 6 level. He was a consistent shooter and a good rebounder, especially on the offensive boards. Finally, he was Colorado’s best rim protector, blocking 4.5% of shots at the rim, 182nd best in the nation.
He will have 2 years of eligibility remaining.
