Colorado’s 2023 football schedule has been released, and the Deion Sanders era will open with a major bang.

The Buffs begin the year with TCU on the road on Saturday, Sept. 2. Sanders and the Buffaloes were reportedly seeking a waiver to play Arizona State in Week 0 before that TCU game, but that waiver request was denied. Still, Colorado will open with a gauntlet.

Sanders’ debut at Folsom Field will take place against one of Colorado’s most hated rivals on Sept. 9 when Nebraska comes to town.

The Buffs open Pac-12 play with a trip to Oregon on Sept. 23. They return home a week later to take on USC on Sept. 30.

The trip to Tempe to battle Arizona State will take place Oct. 7. CU hosts Stanford the following week to conclude a stretch of seven games in seven weeks to open the year.

The game against the Cardinal will be played on a Friday, one of two weekday games for the Buffs on the 2023 schedule. They’ll also travel to Pullman to face Washington State on a Friday in late November.

Colorado plays back-to-back road games to close out the season. The final home game of the regular season takes place on Nov. 11 against Arizona.
