Colorado, fresh off a skid-snapping win in Tempe, started off the new week with another win.

Statesboro (Ga.) High edge rusher Amontrae Bradford has committed to play for the Buffs and coach Deion Sanders. The 6-foot-5 Bradford picked CU over Texas A&M, Kentucky, Indiana, Vanderbilt, and Georgia Tech, among others.

Bradford is a 3-star recruit in the industry-generated 247 Composite. He ranks as the No. 42 edge in the 2024 class and the No. 66 recruit from the Peach State. Overall, he sits at No. 602 in the overall player rankings.

He took an official visit to CU for the Sept. 8 win over Nebraska and has seemingly developed a strong bond with the coaching staff. Bradford told 247Sports’ Steve Wiltfong he felt like the staff didn’t just want him, but needed him.

“I plan on being the first edge they put in the first round (of the NFL Draft),” he told Wiltfong.

As a junior last fall, Bradford worked as a stand-up edge player for a Statesboro team that qualified for Georgia’s AAAAA playoffs.

He becomes the ninth known commitment for Sanders and the Buffs in the 2024 cycle. You can see his highlight tape below, via Hudl:
