Sean Dawkins, former NFL WR, Cal All-American, passes away
Sean Dawkins passed away this week.
According to TMZ Sports, details about Dawkins’ passing have not been announced. After capping his Cal career, Dawkins was selected No. 16 overall in the first round of the 1993 NFL Draft by the Indianapolis Colts. Fellow Cal alum Jason Kidd and Colts owner Jim Irsay are among those who have paid tribute to Dawkins on social media.

Dawkins played for the Golden Bears from 1990-to-1992. He helped Cal to bowl wins in his first 2 seasons, and a No. 7 finish in the Coaches Poll for the ’91 season.
Professionally, Dawkins played 140 games in the NFL, recording 445 receptions for 6,291 yards and 25 touchdowns. Dawkins spent time with the Colts, New Orleans Saints, Seattle Seahawks, Jacksonville Jaguars and Minnesota Vikings.
Dawkins was 52 years old.
